The Role:
As Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll lead a compassionate, multidisciplinary team in a public healthcare service that provides inpatient, outpatient, community health, and aged care services for the people of a regional town in NSW and surrounding areas. You’ll report to the Director of Nursing and be responsible for overseeing clinical care, staff development, and service excellence.
This facility specialises in:
- Rehabilitation post-hospitalisation
- Palliative care for terminally ill patients and their families
- Geriatric evaluation and management, supporting the independence and wellbeing of older adults
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of clinical operations and personal care services
- Mentor and support RNs, ENs, and care staff
- Ensure compliance with aged care and health quality standards
- Drive initiatives in dementia support, palliative, and rehabilitation care
- Collaborate across departments to deliver patient-centred outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in clinical leadership within hospital or aged care settings
- Passion for high-quality, holistic care
- Skilled communicator and mentor with team-building experience
- Confident with compliance, systems, and quality improvement
- Must be willing to relocate and contribute to regional health
