Quality Lead

The role:

  • Controlling the Business Management System with the aims of effectively managing risks, in particular for the management and control of Major accident hazards (MAH's)
  • Ensuring conformance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Support and lead on investigations and the close out of non-conformances
  • Co-ordination or all quality activities across all business units
  • Coaching and supporting Managers to manage in line with the Business and Quality Management system
  • Ensure the audit schedule is adhered to and in accordance with the risk profile of the organization.
  • Ensuring continual improvement across the business
  • System administrator for the Action Tracking Management System (ATMS)
  • Provide support to the Group Business Services Manager as required

Scopes of Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

  • Interpret and implement Quality Assurance standards
  • Develop and implement an assurance audit schedule for ODE Group and business units
  • Lead and participate in internal, supplier and external audits as required
  • Acts as focal point for external audits e.g., certification body, Clients etc
  • Develop and implement the Quality Management System
  • Focal point for contact with clients on QA issues.
  • Conduct investigation and write reports
  • Monitor and ensure the close out of Non-Conformances (NC’s) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
  • Monitor Action Tracking Registers to ensure timely close out, providing support
  • Support the development of project / operation specific quality plans including the review and monitoring
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Conduct quality assurance review of requisitions for Operations and engineering as required
  • Provide cover for the inspection of equipment and certification review for plant and equipment
  • Participate in the preparation of ITT QA responses
  • Develop and implement staff training and awareness – including internal auditor training and Quality inductions
  • Prepare a Quality Quarterly report
  • Manage the schedule for legal reviews ensuring legal compliance across all business units
  • Manage and support the Standards and Codes library, procurement process and access requirements
  • Co-ordination and interface with quality control personnel
  • Attend Lessons Learned sessions and ensure actions are managed in ATMS
  • Review and approve supplier questionnaires
  • Interface and support supply chain in quality assurance

Systems Support

  •  Management of the Business Management System (BMS) and Quality and Compliance SharePoint sites
  • System administrator for the ‘Action Tracking Management System’ (ATMS)
  • Responsible for setting up new action trackers, templates and permissions
  • Support the development of new system opportunities with the Group Business Services Manager
  • Train personnel in new systems as required
  • Develop training materials for new systems as required

Competencies & Soft Skills:

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving ability Strong work ethic
  • Experience delivering Training courses and presentations in quality and systems related subjects
  • Knowledge of ISO Management systems; 9001,45001 and 14001
  • Awareness of Major Accident Hazards for offshore operations
  • Extensive experience advising on management systems, risk management and maintaining compliance
  • Demonstrable appreciation of Engineering, Integrity, Maintenance, supply chain and project management
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proactively encourages continual improvement
  • Good procedure writing skills essential
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Team player, self starter and problem solver
  • IT literate in MS applications
  • Flexible to travel in UK and working away from base office

 Qualifications:  

Lead Auditor ISO 9001 Certificate in Quality Management Quality Diploma - Preferable

Health and Safety Qualification - Preferable

Incident/accident investigation/root cause analysis - Preferable
