Web Designer
6 month fixed term contract

My client a well-known organisation based in Leeds is looking to recruit an Web Designer, this is a 6 month contract role with the possibility of being considered for longer term options providing you demonstrate the right capabilities, attitude and manner.
This role is responsible for the creation and implementation of on-brand promotional graphics for a website across all relevant devices.
Role specific objectives
• Create optimised promotional web graphics for the website across the responsive site (desktop, mobile & tablet) & Apps in accordance with best practice guidelines
• Publish accurate graphics to the site in line with online activity plan or supplier funding plan
• Quality checking & proof reading as required
• Ensure that activity & media is delivered on site – on time, accurately & on brand
• Work with Lead Web Designer to challenge briefs where required, drive innovation through testing & analyse creative performance
Skills & Experience Required
• A design related qualification post GCSE level
• Evidence of producing web graphics across devices
• Proven ability to use Photoshop & Illustrator
• Proven ability to hand code HTML
• Some knowledge of CSS
• Evidence of using a Content Management System (CMS)
• Demonstrable knowledge of designing for web standards & browsers
• Some UX knowledge
• Attention to detail
