- Ensure effective cascading of the departmental strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
- Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximise performance.
- Manage the preparation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
- Design, manage and ensure effective implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
- Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the company's and departmental requirements, policies and quality standards.
- Spearhead the development of a compelling project vision and concept, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with relevant department heads to determine business needs, conduct market research activities, and identify potential business development opportunities accordingly.
- Prepare meticulous business plans that encompass development strategies, phasing approaches, operator strategies, and sales and marketing tactics to streamline and coordinate project execution and enhance sales and marketing effectiveness.
- Lead the preparation and compilation of data and analyses for identified opportunities, including market assessment, surveys, and financial feasibility.
