About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Accounts Analyst to join our team in South Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the intersection of finance and data analytics.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the business through accurate transactional management (AP/AR) while leveraging data to provide meaningful insights that drive commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support business performance monitoring
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide actionable commercial insights
• Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives
• Ensure data integrity across financial and reporting systems

About You

• Strong experience in transactional finance (AP & AR) within a fast-paced environment
• Ideally developed within a shared services environment, managing high volumes and tight deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling, formulas)
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualisation
• Exposure to Power Query and/or Python highly regarded
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment

• Come from busy, high-volume industries such as retail, FMCG, or wholesale/distribution
• Have a strong shared services foundation in finance
• May have studied Business Analytics or a related discipline, or have a genuine passion for Excel, reporting, data visualisation, and tools like Power BI
