An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Accountant to join a well‑known and highly regarded retailer, headquartered in Richmond. This 18‑month fixed‑term role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build a strong technical foundation within a high‑performing finance team.

Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, this position offers broad exposure across month‑end and financial accounting processes, with genuine development opportunities in a fast‑paced retail environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the wider finance function and play a key role in assisting with monthly reporting and core accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end close processes
• Prepare and post journals and accruals
• Support balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with expense allocations and variance analysis
• Help maintain the general ledger
• Support audit and compliance requirements as needed
• Ad‑hoc accounting and finance support to the wider team

About You

• Degree qualified (or nearing completion) in Accounting or Finance
• 1–2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (commercial or professional services)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Solid Excel skills
• A proactive, team‑focused attitude
