Scientist, Ferrier Research Institute (1000744) Kelburn, Wellington Central, New Zealand
We are looking to recruit a Scientist to develop methodology, to carry out detailed mechanistic analysis of enzyme-catalysed reactions, and to support our work developing powerful enzyme inhibitors as new therapeutics. We want a motivated individual who can work well in a highly collaborative team environment and who can contribute to intellectual property generation and to publications in leading journals and/or reports to clients.
The Ferrier Research Institute has a strategic/operational plan which is aligned to Victoria’s Strategic Plan. The Scientist will help the Ferrier Research Institute by:
Carrying out the mechanistic analysis of enzyme-catalysed reactions and develop enzyme inhibitors as new therapeutics
Engaging with Maori, Pasifica and other New Zealand entities, in pursuit of applications for natural product knowledge.
Having awareness of the wider related business issues, and to also support the objectives of the Ferrier Research Institute.
