Freight Coordinator – Liverpool (Permanent, Full-Time)

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 depending one experience

Hours: Monday–Thursday 09:00–17:30 | Friday 09:00–17:00

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Freight Coordinator to join a leading freight forwarding company based in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close-knit, supportive team within a global logistics environment.

About the Role:

The Freight Coordinator will work as part of the forwarding team, handling Air and Ocean consignments, customs declarations, and freight invoicing. The role involves managing multiple customer accounts, ensuring shipments are processed efficiently and compliantly, and maintaining excellent communication across internal teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily freight forwarding operations across Air and Ocean.
• Prepare and process all shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, and Customs Declarations.
• Ensure compliance with all operational, customer, and business requirements.
• Support the invoicing process and assist in auditing supplier invoices.
• Build strong working relationships with carriers, agents, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting to support performance and compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs documentation.
• Knowledge of CDS Customs Declarations (preferred).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• A proactive, team-focused attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
