Stafforce are recruiting Machine Operators for our client, an employer of choice, Tayto Ltd, in Scunthorpe DN16 1TT. Tayto is a large family-owned business which manufactures Golden Wonder products as well as crisps and snacks for major supermarkets. Due to development and growth, Tayto are looking specifically for Machine Operators to work in the manufacturing department.

As a Machine Operator, you will operate the flavour applicators safely, maintaining efficiency, quality assurance, and quality testing and data analysis and leading a small team on your line. 

Pay: £14.08 per hour

Shift Pattern: PERMANENT NIGHTS 10PM TO 6AM MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Key Responsibilities as a Machine Operator 

·        Operate the flavour applicators to give coverage within specification

·        Ensure correct flavours are used, check batch codes

·        Carry out Q.A checks

·        Complete all necessary documentation

·        Carry out flavour changes, efficiently, when required to minimise downtime

·        Clean applicators correctly to ensure no cross contamination of flavours

·        When filling applicators ensure no foreign objects enter the product stream

·        During the end of production clean down strip down applicator, clean to the required standard and rebuild correctly

·        Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure the work area is always clean and tidy

·        Monitor flavour applicators and report any faults to the appropriate person

Skills for Flavourist

·        Proven experience in a food production environment

·        Understanding of production procedures.
