Maintenance Fitter or Skilled Trade Assistant

Labourpower Recruitment is currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter or Skilled Trade Assistant to assist with new builds and repairs/maintenance for our client based in Somersby.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to perform maintenance, repairs, and support across a wide range new and existing projects across the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or mechanical environments and have a mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance
• Assist in mechanical repairs, installations, and upgrades
• Support qualified tradespeople with various workshop and on site tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Adhere to WHS standards and company procedures
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports

About You:

• Trade qualification (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or similar) OR experience as a trade assistant in a mechanical/industrial environment
• Sound mechanical aptitude and use of hand/power tools
• Ideally have experience with MIG Welding
• Strong work ethic with a team-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• A valid licence and reliable transport to get to and from work.

This position is the work Monday to Friday, min 38 hours per week with a pay rate between $36 to $48 per hour depending on qualifications/skills and experience.
