THE EXCITING OPPORTUNITY – Experienced or New Graduate Occupational Therapists

We have two exciting opportunities for experienced Occupational Therapists or, if you are a Graduate, then we would love to hear from you because our client will definitely consider your application as they have an Allied Health team who will be able to develop and support you in your career path.  Engage with people across all walks of life to provide a range of supports and services where no two days will be the same working in the Community.

THE ROLE
  • Complete home-based functional assessments to identify areas of need
  • Implement interventions to improve home safety, daily living skills and function
  • Provide supervision and support to therapy assistants
  • Respond to concerns and requests from families or Carers
  • Assist with aids and equipment prescription
  • Support the maintenance and restoration of consumer's independence
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain appropriate documentation 
  • Tailor your treatment accordingly to suit each individual's needs 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and reporting activity
  • Establish and maintain outstanding rapport with consumers and their families

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor of Science qualification in Occupational Therapy 
  • Previous experience working as an OT in aged care community or residential setting
  • AHPRA Registration or be a recent OT Graduate who is waiting on results to come through to obtain registration
  • Flexible start and finish times approximately 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
  • Provide a holistic approach to care, and want to make a meaningful difference in people's lives
  • Will be driven to want to provide the best outcomes for the consumers
  • You must be passionate about providing exceptional care (with a difference) to the older population
  • Evidence of COVID19 Vaccination and Influenza vaccination
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Driver's Licence and well maintained vehicle
