Our client is a private highly renowned aged care provider operating residential aged care facilities across Australia. They are currently commissioning a brand new, state-of-the-art residential aged care home located near Newcastle specifically designed to provide residents with an unique luxury aged care offering, and a warm and welcoming environment that supports a safe, tranquil and homely setting. 

Working with a leader in the market, you will work alongside the executive management team and be supported in the commissioning of the facility with 100+ beds.  This is a rare opportunity to be part of a dedicated and highly regarded provider where you can make your mark and be instrumental in building and shaping the team and culture leading by example and empowering the workforce to deliver outstanding quality of care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day operational management of the facility
  • Oversee and manage leadership roles – Clinical, Catering, Lifestyle & Admin
  • Develop and manage budgets and allocate resources to support residents and staff
  • Ensure residents experience high quality support, care and services
  • Coach and support direct reports adhering to values of the organisation
  • Stakeholder engagement with customer service and safety focus
  • Ensure adherence to laws, regulations and industry standards specific to aged care facilities
  • Actively implement quality and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure resident support and high quality care

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience as a General/Facility Manager working within residential Aged Care or health sector
  • AHPRA registration highly desirable
  • Understanding of day to day operational management of a facility
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Capability in HR and asset management
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Knowledge of aged care regulations, compliance requirements and best practice
