Gi Group is currently recruiting for a Work Analyst on behalf of a well-established organisation within the aerospace industry, based in Yeovil.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with information, monitoring performance and making sure that processes and records are accurate and up to date.
The role combines office-based reporting and performance monitoring with regular interaction with production teams on the shop floor. You will work closely with colleagues across different departments and levels of the business, helping to ensure that operational information is correct, identifying areas that need attention and supporting improvements in production performance.
We are looking for someone who is analytical, highly organised, detail-oriented and confident communicating with different people.
Key Responsibilities as a Work Analyst:
- Monitor and review production performance, ensuring that information and reported figures are accurate and up to date.
- Check operational data, identify discrepancies and investigate any differences between planned and actual performance.
- Prepare and maintain regular performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Review productivity, labour hours, capacity and operational efficiency, highlighting areas that may require further investigation.
- Spend time working with production teams on the shop floor to understand processes, gather information and follow up on performance-related matters.
- Communicate with colleagues, supervisors and managers across different levels of the organisation.
- Support the identification of operational issues and opportunities to improve working practices and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and departmental documentation.
- Work closely with the Works Analysis team to ensure consistent processes and reporting standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities and help promote efficient ways of working.
The Candidate:
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies and missing information.
- Very good organisational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working with data, checking information and maintaining accurate records.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident communicating with people at different levels of an organisation.
- Comfortable interacting with production teams and spending time on the shop floor, rather than working exclusively at a desk.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to ask questions, investigate issues and follow things through.
Previous experience in a Performance Analyst, Production Analyst, Manufacturing, Operations Support, Quality or Continuous Improvement role would be beneficial.
Experience within aerospace, engineering, automotive or another manufacturing environment would also be advantageous.
