Vinova are partnering with a growing renewable energy developer delivering a portfolio of utility-scale energy projects across Australia. As their pipeline continues to expand, they are looking for a Community Engagement Officer to support stakeholder engagement and community benefit initiatives across a number of projects in Western Australia.
This role would suit someone with a few years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications or social impact who is looking to take ownership of projects and develop their career within the renewable energy sector.
About the role
Reporting into the Community Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting engagement activities across multiple renewable energy developments.
• Supporting community and stakeholder engagement activities across project sites
• Building relationships with landowners, local communities, councils, government agencies and key stakeholders
• Planning and facilitating community information sessions, stakeholder meetings and local engagement events
• Assisting with the development and delivery of community benefit and social value programs
• Preparing engagement materials including presentations, newsletters, fact sheets and stakeholder communications
• Managing community enquiries and maintaining stakeholder databases and records
• Supporting project teams with engagement reporting, planning approvals and regulatory requirements
• Working closely with development, planning and engineering teams to align engagement activities with project milestones
About you
• 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications or a related field
• Experience working within renewable energy, infrastructure, resources, utilities or a similar industry is highly regarded
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across regional and rural communities
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Able to work autonomously while remaining connected to a broader project team
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and community outcomes
