HR Officer (VC10183) York, England

Salary: GBP20000 - GBP24000 per annum + pension and generous annual leave

Position:

An HR Officer is required for a 9-12-month fixed term contract for an education establishment in York, North Yorkshire.

An exciting opportunity to join the HR team, as an HR Officer for this reputable education establishment, supporting the HR team, especially in the area of high-volume recruitment as well as HR-related administrative duties. Duties:

Oversee a wide range of HR administration duties, taking the lead on all recruitment, inclusive of all advertising, screening, interviewing and offer letters. You will have a mixed and varied workload which will require you to be adaptable and manage this to tight deadlines.

  • Work closely with the HR team delivering a positive experience for all
  • Manage the entire recruitment and selection process including:
  • Staff requirements
  • Advertising
  • Screening & Interview Arrangements
  • Pre-employment checks & safeguarding arrangements
  • Offer letters
  • Manage all administration tasks including starters and leavers and liaising with payroll
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff on managing their team
  • Working under the Senior HR Advisor, advise and support managers on non-complex HR-related issues
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries from staff and external via telephone, email and face to face
  • Liaise appropriately with the HR team to make sure that all enquiries are dealt with accordingly and effectively and refer any complex HR issues to the Senior HR Advisor
  • Make sure that confidentiality is always upheld and that customer service is always prioritised
  • Keep record keeping and data input up to date and accurate
  • Build positive and strong relationships with all staff and external providers

Requirements:

I am keen to speak with anyone who is experienced in dealing with high volumes of recruitment, who has exceptional administration skills and the ability to manage a varied and ever-changing workload. Ideally you will have had experience within HR, although not essential and ideally you will have experience within an education setting.
