Residential Property Litigation Solicitor – Birmingham / Hybrid Working

This is a new exciting opportunity for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join a niche property firm in Birmingham City Centre.

Responsibilities
You will manage a varied caseload including:

  • Debt Recovery – small claims/fast track/multi-track
  • Breach of Lease – County Court action / FTT action
  • Forfeiture & Possession Proceedings
  • Lease Extensions
  • Lease Variations
  • FTT application
  • Lease Analysis
  • Enforcement of Judgements
  • Appointment of Manager Applications
  • Providing advice to clients on:
    • Major works consultation
    • S20b notices
    • Lease variations
    • Lease structure
    • Notices of repairs
  • Supporting the Pre-Litigation team with queries
  • Staff training and mentoring trainees within the team


About you

  • Minimum of 3 years’ PQE
  • Working knowledge of leases and enforcement of judgements, Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987, Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, organised and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills


Ideally you will have knowledge of The RTM Process and structure, The Companies Act 2006 and key case law surrounding leasehold legislation.
