Key Responsibilities:

• Preoperative Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of patients to determine their suitability for anaesthesia.
  • Develop anaesthesia care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Anaesthesia Administration:

  • Administer various types of anaesthesia (general, regional, local) during surgical and medical procedures.
  • Adjust anaesthesia levels as needed to ensure patient comfort and safety.

• Intraoperative Monitoring:

  • Monitor patient's vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
  • Respond to any changes in patient's conditions promptly and effectively.

• Postoperative Care:

  • Manage patients' recovery from anaesthesia, ensuring smooth transition to postoperative care.
  • Address any complications or adverse reactions to anaesthesia.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.

• Patient Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols regarding patient safety and infection control.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and training programs.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including anaesthesia plans, intraoperative notes, and postoperative progress.
