Role Purpose

To carry out skilled turkey preparation and portioning duties safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards within a fast-paced food production environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·       Trim turkey breasts to the required product specification.

·       Work on the cone line, handling and preparing turkey products as required.

·       Portion turkeys and turkey products accurately to specification.

·       Use knives and relevant equipment safely and correctly.

·       Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene and food safety.

·       Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and working instructions.

·       Work efficiently as part of the production team to support operational requirements.

Working Hours

Working pattern: Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 6:00 AM and working until finish. Shifts may be up to 10 hours long, depending on operational requirements.

Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked per week.

Training and Progression

Full training will be provided. Following successful completion of the required training and formal sign-off as competent, the basic hourly rate can increase to up to £14.02 per hour, with an overtime rate of up to £21.03 per hour.

Requirements

·       A good level of English to understand instructions, training and Health & Safety requirements.

·       Own transport to ensure reliable travel to and from the site.

·       Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 AM until finish.

·       Ability and willingness to work shifts of up to 10 hours.

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food production environment.

·       Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
