About the Role

We are seeking a professional and organised Reception Administrator to join our team within a commercial analytical and testing services environment. This role is initially a 6-month maternity leave cover, with the opportunity to transition into a part-time position (2 days per week) upon the return of the current staff member.

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our front office while supporting administrative and coordination functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reception desk and switchboard, directing incoming calls appropriately
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Process credit card payments
  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Enter outsourced results from external laboratories into internal systems
  • Coordinate driver schedules for sample collection and deliveries
  • Monitor shared email inbox and distribute emails to relevant staff
  • Assist with reporting and general administrative tasks
  • Distribute accounts payable invoices for authorisation
  • Issue and manage keys/passes for staff and visitors
  • Monitor and manage entry gate access

About You

  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident using computer systems and email management
