About the Role
We are seeking a professional and organised Reception Administrator to join our team within a commercial analytical and testing services environment. This role is initially a 6-month maternity leave cover, with the opportunity to transition into a part-time position (2 days per week) upon the return of the current staff member.
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our front office while supporting administrative and coordination functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception desk and switchboard, directing incoming calls appropriately
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Process credit card payments
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Enter outsourced results from external laboratories into internal systems
- Coordinate driver schedules for sample collection and deliveries
- Monitor shared email inbox and distribute emails to relevant staff
- Assist with reporting and general administrative tasks
- Distribute accounts payable invoices for authorisation
- Issue and manage keys/passes for staff and visitors
- Monitor and manage entry gate access
About You
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident using computer systems and email management
