Leaving the Forces? Read This First.

If you’re coming from a military engineering background and looking to move into the energy sector, this is a strong next step but there is a minimum technical requirement.

You must hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

This is essential due to the nature of the work on high-voltage infrastructure.

Resettlement Opportunity Available

If you’re still in service, we can support a 2–3 week placement during your resettlement period, where you will:

  • Get hands-on exposure to HV environments
  • Work alongside experienced engineers
  • Understand systems, processes, and expectations
  • Build real, site-based experience before committing

This gives both you and the business confidence before a permanent move.

You’ll be working as a field-based Service Engineer, supporting:

  • HV/MV switchgear and transformers (415V–400kV)
  • Sites across power generation, T&D, and industrial environments

This role involves:

Straight Talking

This isn’t entry-level.

If you’ve got the Level 3 electrical foundation and you’re used to working in disciplined, safety-critical environments, this is a very strong move into a long-term civilian career.
