The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Process Design Engineer to join our product development team at Kelvion.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is keen to build a long-term career in process design engineering, developing both technical knowledge and practical experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You’ll be joining a small, experienced team (team lead + two engineers), giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure, structured mentoring, and real responsibility from an early stage.
This position is designed to support your progression toward becoming a fully-fledged Process Design Engineer.
What You’ll Be Doing
With full training and support, you will:
- Assist in the design and development of cooling distribution units (CDUs), pump skids, and related systems
- Support the creation and review of P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Work alongside experienced engineers to develop solutions tailored to customer applications
- Contribute to product development projects, from concept through to prototype and manufacture
- Support engineering changes and continuous improvement activities
- Learn to apply process design principles to real-world industrial systems
- Assist with technical analysis, including exposure to tools such as FEA and CFD (where applicable)
- Collaborate with internal teams including Global Technology, Product Line Management, and Manufacturing
- Maintain accurate documentation and support project timelines
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
- A strong interest in process design engineering and a desire to build a long-term career in this field
- Basic understanding of:
- Process engineering principles
- Fluid dynamics
- P&IDs (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Organised approach with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines
