  • Hybrid working - 3 days on site - CBD


A great opportunity for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a leading Australian financial organisation.

This role will be working in the infrastructure and cloud team, working predominantly on daily operational tasks as well as contributing to critical projects. 


Responsibilities:

  • Perform operational tasks on the Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
  • Manage data backups and restoration procedures.
  • Participate in cloud-related projects, assisting with the design, implementation, and testing of new solutions and enhancements.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for Azure-related incidents and alerts from the IT support team, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and support of Azure cloud environments, including patching, updates, and security hardening.

About you:

  • A passion for cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Broad understanding of core Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with security tools such as Crowdstrike or Mimecast will be beneficial.
