Network Engineer (BBBH7512) Melbourne CBD, Melbourne, Australia

  • Hybrid role – 2-3 days in office required

Great opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer in a role which will be critical for the infrastructure team, focussed on both critical projects as well as operational work.

Strong experience with Cisco and Fortinet is critical in a role in which you'll be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills to work alongside non-technical stakeholders. 

About you:

  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Deep knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
  • Experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies critical. 
  • Experience with Cisco Netscaler, and SDwan will be viewed favourably.
  • Proven experience with hybrid cloud networking practices (Azure/AWS)
  • Working knowledge of ICT Risk Management, endpoint security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Understanding of security assessment and testing methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work heavily on critical projects as well as day-to-day network operations, including planning, designing, implementing, and improving network infrastructure across all environments (on-premises, data centers, cloud).
  • Monitor network performance and security, implement solutions to address concerns, and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Contribute to and implement ICT infrastructure policies and standards, with a focus on networking. Maintain well-architected network documentation.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of evolving network technologies and trends. Provide expert advice and support to the IT team.
  • Requirement to travel between sites in the local area.
