Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy sliced meat manufacturing site in Haverhill. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and is confident supervising a team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising production operatives across the sliced meats department.
• Ensuring all production lines run efficiently and safely throughout the shift.
• Monitoring product quality and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are always met.
• Supporting staff training, development, and performance management.
• Completing shift reports, recording production data and communicating with management.
• Ensuring KPIs are met including output, waste control, and line efficiency.
• Managing allocation of staff to workstations based on skills and daily production needs.
• Supporting continuous improvement and encouraging a positive, team-focused culture.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety and HACCP procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader in a food manufacturing environment (ideally chilled or meat processing).
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and H&S regulations.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
