We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a well-established independent business on the outskirts of York. You will be responsible for new business sales activity, lead generation and account management in a very friendly and welcoming team.
Please be aware there is no bus route to this office therefore you must be a driver to be considered for this position.
Some of the responsibilities will be;
- Generate new business from new customers by phoning companies who would use this product
- Respond to and exclusively handle all enquiries from specific customers assigned to you, or leads that you generate from scratch yourself
- Monitor and chase suppliers to ensure that delivery dates are met
- Provide excellent Customer Service at all times as per company directives and values
- Account Managers to develop good working relationships with the buyers at their new customers
- Generate and improve the sales revenue from any existing customers assigned to you.
- Manage your desk in the way, and to the daily routine explained to you by your Line Manager
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
- Answer and transfer some incoming telephone calls, regardless of whose customer/buyer they may by
- Handle any complaints or returns, in conjunction with the Sales Manager
This will be working Monday to Thursday 8:45am to 5:30pm and a Friday until 4:30pm, earning a salary of £20,000 plus commission.
