Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a consulting firm located in Huntington Beach CA and  are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Document Review Paralegal to join our legal team specializing in mesothelioma and construction defect cases. This is a critical role requiring expertise in handling complex legal documents and assisting in case preparation for litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and summarize depositions effectively, ensuring detailed accuracy and relevance to the case.
  • Take and transcribe dictation from legal professionals, converting spoken words into clear and organized written documents.
  • Create comprehensive reports to be included with case briefs, contributing to the overall strategy and support of the litigation team.
  • Manage and organize large volumes of documents, ensuring all materials are readily accessible and properly filed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a paralegal in document review, particularly in mesothelioma or construction defect litigation preferred. 
  • Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to produce well-crafted, error-free documents under tight deadlines.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills, with a strong emphasis on grammatical correctness and no tolerance for typos [required]. 
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to mesothelioma and construction defect cases.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering quality work within specified deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically with responsibilities in deposition summarization and legal writing.
  • Certification or degree in paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and legal case management tools.
