Salary: £13-14ph / £27,000 – 29,000 p/a

Our client based in Uxbridge are recruiting for a variety of positions within their engineering works, where they are the UK’s leading specialist in anodising and metal finishing. Having experienced considerable growth in recent times, and supplying various sectors and markets worldwide, they are now looking to build on their reputation and invest in new personnel for the long-term.

Role & Main Duties:
- Main Duty – SFT / Anodising Technician – You will be responsible for navigating complex Article pieces through the vigorous anodising process.
- Perform a brief inspection of the fixtured parts to ensure that they are securely attached to aid electrical contact throughout the process and do not show any signs of damage before processing.
- Confirm quantities are correct to the paperwork and route card provided.
- Visually inspect the articles after processing to ensure that the articles are of a high-quality finish, raise any concerns immediately with the Production Manager.
- All processed articles are to be moved into the Inspection section and communicate accordingly.
- Assist the Production Manager with regular maintenance of chemical solutions including addition of undiluted acids/alkalis and pumping out of exhausted rinse tanks on a weekly basis.
- Maintain all local equipment and ensure process bars are cleaned daily. Any equipment requiring maintenance to be communicated to the Production Manager.
- Ensure all equipment is within calibration and within there working parameters as per process specification.
- Complete work in a manner that complies with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- You may be required to train personnel from time to time to encourage uniformity across the Surface Finishing section.
- Adhere to COSHH regulations.
- Use the correct Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protective Equipment when required to do so and correct handling/storage of all hazardous chemicals.
Qualities required:
- Technically minded with the ability to follow detailed written & verbal instructions
- Methodical approach & ability to carry out several processes simultaneously
- Keen eye for detail – Ability to identify problems quickly
- Willing to learn new skills to help achieve the Company’s vision/goals
- Flexible & proactive
- Physically fit able to lift items up to a maximum of 25kg
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Solid communication skills
