Grounds Maintenance Operative

Grounds Maintenance Operative (EW2904908) Woking, England

Salary: GBP9 - GBP10.5 per hour

Our client in Bisley, Woking are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to manage the grounds.

Main purpose of the role

Maintenance of ranges and surrounding areas to facilitate general shooting and competition.  Presentation, maintenance and improvement of Camp administrative and accommodation areas.

Facilitate shooting through:

    • Maintenance of range floors
    • Maintenance of stop butts
    • Control of plant growth
    • Maintenance of firing points
    • Maintenance and improvement of drainage

 Maintenance and improvement of Bisley Camp Grounds, to include

    • Grass cutting
    • Hedge trimming
    • Weed control
    • Tree work
    • Leaf clearance
    • Gritting
    • Undergrowth clearance

 

  • Highlight any safety issues to the Range Safety Supervisors promptly
  • Provide additional general support to range services
  • Support to corporate events and major competitions
  • Assist with the deployment of targetry and range infrastructure as required
  • Action tasks from monthly range inspections
  • As tasked by the Head of Grounds

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Driving License
  • Experience of grounds work and gardening
  • Tractor Driver
  • Wood Chipper certificate
  • Spraying license
  • Chainsaw certificate
  • Mower competent
  • Strimmer competent
