Job Statement:
Our client based in Mansfield are a long-standing industry-leading manufacturer of adhesive products. They are looking for a Material Handler with the expertise of a Fork Lift Truck, to join their manufacturing team.
You will be responsible for providing various materials in the company’s inventory to various sections, ready to be processed. You will also support the shipping & receiving department during busy periods. This will include verifying records of Goods In & Out, and keeping an accurate log of raw materials coming into your section.
Main Responsibilities:
• Delivering material to the machine operators, ready to be processed.
• Ensure oldest stock used first, (FIFO Method)
• Count current stock & record written up on specific Job Card
• Empty the Bailer as and when required
• Twice a day, check cardboard pallet and dispose as required
• Delivering finished machine-fed stock to Press & Slitting departments
• On a weekly basis – Empty Recycling/Paper/Plastic bins
• Returnable Containers, which are left outside to be covered properly, to protect from rainfall.
• Returnable Container Log to be regularly updated and passed onto Production Supervisor.
Essential Skills/qualifications:
• Responsible character with previous Goods In/Stock Controller experience, with valid FLT License.
• Great communication – this will be relied on and you will be responsible for communicating issues/shortages where necessary.
• Team player mentality, studious and helpful.
• Physically fit and able to lift or move items weight as much as 20kg
• Maintain workspaces with a high level of organisation and accuracy in documentation trail.
• Good level of English and Mathematical skills
