German-Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are currently seeking a German-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join a friendly and supportive finance team based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Accounts Payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident communicating with German-speaking suppliers. You'll play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.

Following an initial training period, the role will offer a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process supplier invoices accurately.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Input invoice data into SAP and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and process supplier payments, including bank transfers.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier account information and records.
• Support month-end processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation when required.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance procedures and controls.
• Work closely with colleagues across the finance team to support day-to-day operations.

About You
Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous Accounts Payable experience.
• Fluent German language skills, with the ability to speak, read and communicate confidently about finance-related matters.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Desirable

• Experience using SAP.
• Experience with a similar ERP or finance system.
• Experience working with international suppliers.

Please note: Applicants will be required to demonstrate their German language skills during the interview process, with part of the interview conducted in German.
