Ashley Kate Finance are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant on the behalf of our client to join their dynamic finance team . As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing core financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial management principles and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality results.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including sales accrual journals and fixed cost variance explanations.
  • Manage and monitor standard costing processes (monthly cost rollups and variance analysis).
  • Conduct sales and margin analysis and reporting, including daily sales, monthly PBFE, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Analyse and forecast labour costs.
  • Track and process sales rebates and discounts, including monthly journals.
  • Perform production usage variance analysis and tracking (MUC).
  • Maintain the customer tooling tracker and ensure accurate IFRS 15 postings.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast.
  • Update and monitor inter-company transfer pricing annually.
  • Update standard labour and overhead rates annually.
  • Support accounts payable processes (approx. 40 invoices/day).
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as required by management or the wider business.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in a management accounting role within a manufacturing company, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing and sales margin analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Confident in analysing data, providing insights, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
