Salary:  £28,000 - £34,000

Hours:  Monday –Friday 9am-5pm

Job Description:

Our client is prominent within the medical design and manufacturing sector. They want you to join their production team as a scheduler, where you will be creating Master Production Plans and maximizing the companies production capacity.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create Master Production Plans to ensure that every output (level) is recorded appropriately for all products on the system. Utilise the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities. Analyse and identify risks associated with the Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times.
  • Run the MRP twice a week to catch updates and if needed release to the factory.
  • Create and/or organise a Production schedule daily
  • Work closely with other departments to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved
  • Regularly maintain and update Engineer Bill of Materials (BoM) with production schedules in mind. You will also coordinate BOM management with all departments outside of Engineering.
  • Review the BOO (Bill of Operations) and compare with EPICOR to ensure it is correct.
  • Run the daily perpetual inventory checks on stock for all operational production departments and create Weekly /Monthly analysis on stock accuracy.
  • Work with the Operational team to rectify and/or reconcile differences and inaccuracies.
  • Coordinate change management process tasks with internally departments and suppliers
  • Hold weekly meetings with all departments to ensure Change Requests are processed correctly in an optimum time period and issue data on outstanding requests.
  • Run weekly cost roll up with monthly checks for negative stock items.
  • Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Review Work Instructions to ensure they align with the best method of manufacture.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • You must know how to use scheduling software
  • Previous experience in running an ERP system.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload and meet deadlines with a problem-solving mentality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work independently.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion.
  • Able to read and, understand engineering documents, and work closely with members of the engineering, operations and purchasing team.
  • Understanding of Process Flow and MRP systems. Understanding of design for all manufacture principals, as well as MRP/ERP systems and Bill of Material generation.

 

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000
