Duration: 90 days with possible extension/conversion
Pay: $30-$40/hr. DOE
Schedule: 100% Onsite; Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

 

 

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced General Liability Adjuster to manage a diverse portfolio of Commercial General Liability and Auto claims—including physical damage and injury—for both first- and third-party losses. This role requires a strong command of investigative work, reserving, coverage evaluation, communication, and negotiation throughout the full life cycle of a claim, including litigation when applicable.

In this position, you’ll independently handle claims in alignment with established best practices, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost‑effective resolutions. You’ll also serve as a trusted claims partner for designated clients and actively participate in mediations, arbitrations, and appeal hearings within your authority.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate new losses, assess coverage, and establish proper reserves.
  • Manage claims from first notice to resolution, including litigation oversight.
  • Draft high‑quality written communications such as caption reports, reservation‑of‑rights letters, disclaimers, and other claim correspondence.
  • Negotiate settlements for physical damage and injury claims within your authority.
  • Collaborate with vendors, defense counsel, clients, claimants, and carriers.
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and appeals as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to agency data standards and integrity requirements.
  • Support client relationships while handling assigned client-specific claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience handling Auto and/or General Liability claims.
  • Experience with Bodily Injury claims preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and related tools.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a steady and varied claim load.
