About the role

The Program Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management of operations in the delivery of learning and teaching and support in the program. The position will require experience in managing staff and developing a team culture, high level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate effectively with other College teams. The Program Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong links with relevant Curtin University staff.

The role includes all aspects of academic quality both in discipline-specific knowledge skills & attributes and the pedagogy, development and alignment of the program learning outcomes, learning activities and assessment design. It also includes teaching, provision of student academic advice and staff management. The Health Science diploma includes 12 different streams.  

 

The person we seek will ideally have the following 

Curtin College is recruiting a Program Manager Health Science with a relevant postgraduate and teaching experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in managing staff and developing a team culture, high level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate effectively with a range of people across all levels of the College. Reporting to the Academic Director, the Program Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong links with relevant Curtin University stakeholders.

 

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications at the postgraduate level in a relevant discipline area
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of high-quality teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary education level
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development of scholarly and innovative approaches to learning and teaching
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students in learning activities
  • Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic and administrative staff and students
  • Demonstrated evidence of leadership in teaching and/or curriculum design, development, delivery
  • Demonstrated computer literacy relevant to the role, including competency with the MS Office suite

Desriable

  • Experience working in a multicultural education environment
  • Knowledge of undergraduate programs at tertiary level
