Automation Engineer

Automation Engineer (BBBH36520) Edinburgh, Scotland

Salary: GBP45000 - GBP50000 per annum + benefits including bonus

Automation Engineer required for a software company in Edinburgh (remote).

The company, who work on healthcare software, have doubled in size due to a recent acquisition and are set to just keep growing (with a really clear roadmap to do so), which means continuing career opportunities for their employees! They really value career progression and offer multiple defined paths within the company for you to explore – you could become a technical expert or Architect, or move into a Lead role where you can manage and mentor a team (while still being technical and hands-on!).

You’ll be working as an Automation Engineer as part of a small Agile team. There is a great community of Automation Engineers throughout the company (QA is really valued!) to collaborate with and get support from, but day-to-day you will be the sole Automation Engineer within your team. This means you have autonomy (within reason) as to how to shape and progress the automation testing within your particular project.

The company have a huge focus on ensuring that they are using the most relevant and modern tech (which means you will too), and this has meant they are in the process of moving all of their applications to the cloud – Azure specifically.

You will be using Selenium and C# to create automation tests from scratch. Ideally you will be able to create automation test frameworks from scratch as well, and have strong experience across API testing.

You’ll have most of the following skills/experience:

**Automation testing – C#, Selenium

**Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps

** SaaS experience would be a bonus!

**API testing

**SQL

**Backend testing experience

**Agile Scrum

If you are based outwith a commutable distance to Edinburgh, you are able to work 100% remotely within the UK. If you are more local to Edinburgh (like the majority of their staff, as Edinburgh is their UK HQ), you may need to come in occasionally for important meetings (likely a couple times a month).

Salary-wise the company can offer up to £50,000 for this position, although they can be flexible around this. Benefits include bonus, private medical, travel insurance, good holidays plus volunteer days and career break options and more. You’ll also be set up with two screens and a laptop for home working.

If this role would be of interest, please do apply and/or reach out to Erin at Cathcart Associates.
