This is an excellent career opportunity for a Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering Graduate who wants to move away from a purely desk-based engineering role and build a career working hands-on with some of the world's most advanced CNC machine tools and automation technology.
Our client is a highly successful Global CNC Machine Tool Manufacturer, supplying advanced CNC machine tools and automation equipment to engineering and manufacturing companies throughout Australia. They also provide technical support, spare parts, applications and field service to their customers.
They are looking for a Graduate / Trainee CNC Field Service Engineer who has a genuine interest in machinery, automation and hands-on engineering. Full product and service training will be provided, giving you the opportunity to develop into a highly skilled CNC Service Engineer.
You will be trained across a broad range of technical areas including CNC machine installation and commissioning, fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance, applications support, customer training and machine demonstrations.
The equipment combines mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, making this an ideal career for a Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys understanding how complex machinery works, diagnosing problems and working directly with advanced technology.
You will work with experienced engineers and technicians while developing practical skills on CNC machining centres, CNC lathes and automation systems. Exposure to CNC brands such as Okuma, Haas, Mori Seiki, DMG Mori, Mazak, Makino, Doosan, Bridgeport or Hardinge would be advantageous, but extensive CNC service experience is not required as training will be provided.
We are looking for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, likes solving technical problems and wants a career where they can use both their engineering knowledge and practical skills.
The successful candidate will display:
- Mechatronics Engineering Grad or
- Mechanical Engineer Grad or
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude / skills.
- CNC operation experience ideal but not essential.
- Interest or understanding of CNC machinery.
- CNC programming exposure ideal.
- Interest in automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS A MUST.
