This well-established and highly respected engineering and manufacturing company specialises in precision components, tooling and fabricated solutions across multiple industries. They operate a modern CNC machining, laser cutting and fabrication facility and are known for quality and innovation.

Due to growth, they are seeking a skilled CAD Specialist - Design to take ownership of the CAD systems, 3D modelling, rendering, and technical design processes across the business.

This is a key technical role working closely with sales, production and management to ensure accurate design, cost estimation and efficient manufacturing outcomes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Managing and optimising CAD systems and design standards
• Producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings
• Supporting sales with technical input and cost estimation
• Developing and maintaining BOMs and production documentation
• Working closely with production to ensure design for manufacturability
• Assisting with project coordination from concept through to completion

This is not just a drafting role. We are seeking someone with deep CAD expertise who understands manufacturing realities and can bridge design and production effectively.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Extensive experience using SolidWorks and CATIA
• Strong 3D modelling and rendering capability
• Mechanical trade or engineering qualifications
• Manufacturing background – ideally precision engineering, fabrication or metal processing
• Strong understanding of production processes, job cards and BOM structures
• Experience preparing drawings for manufacturing environments
• Ability to liaise with sales and assist with cost estimation
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
