This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer looking for something more varied than a traditional machine shop role.

Our client is an established engineering and tooling business based in Adelaide's northern suburbs. They are looking for a capable CNC all-rounder who can program, set and operate, while also using their technical knowledge to assist customers when required.

You'll be working with modern CNC equipment, producing precision tooling and components, while also having the opportunity to get involved with technical customer support and tooling solutions.

THE ROLE

• Fusion 360 CAM programming
• Program, set and operate CNC machinery
• Doosan CNC lathe & Okuma CNC mill
• CNC turning and milling
• Precision machining and tooling
• Work from drawings and models
• Tooling selection and machining strategies
• Technical problem solving
• Assist customers with machining and tooling enquiries
• Work with the sales team on technical solutions
• Occasional customer site visits

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You may be a qualified CNC Machinist, Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker or an experienced CNC tradesperson.
You will ideally have:

• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating skills
• Fusion 360 CAM experience
• CNC turning and milling experience
• Good knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Current driver's licence

Experience with Doosan or Okuma machinery would be highly regarded. Most importantly, we're looking for an all-rounder who enjoys machining but is also comfortable talking with customers and helping solve technical machining problems.
