This is a privately owned Australian wool products manufacturing company based in Southwest Sydney. With over 20 years’ experience, they specialise in wool products covering an array of items such as wool bedding, clothing, outdoor products and commercial wool filters.

They design, manufacture and market an exclusive range of luxury specialty wool bedding, all made with Australian fibre.

Products are sold around Australia and exported worldwide to the USA, Korea, China, Taiwan, Russia and Europe.
The Role – Part-Time Accounts (Office-Based)

Our client is seeking a part-time accounts person to assist across core finance and admin functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, issue client invoices and track payments.
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Enter financial transactions accurately; maintain organised records and digital files.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and control accounts; investigate discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting & Budgets: Assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end tasks, basic reports and budget support.
  • Payroll Support: Verify hours and assist with payroll documentation.
  • Administrative Support: General office duties including filing, phones and mail.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Software Proficiency: Comfortable with accounting packages (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or SAP) and Microsoft Office (strong Excel). Training on Business Central will be provided.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy handling figures, invoices and reconciliations.
  • Organisation & Time Management: Able to prioritise tasks and meet cut-offs.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal skills for vendors, customers and internal teams.
  • Numeracy & Problem-Solving: Confident with basic accounting concepts and resolving variances.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Discreet with financial information; reliable and professional.
  • Experience: Prior AP/AR or accounts admin experience in a small/medium business is preferred.

  • Demonstrated Accounts Payable experience (matching, coding, approvals).
  • Demonstrated Accounts Receivable experience (invoicing, receipts, follow-ups).
  • Bank and account reconciliations experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivots or filters; accurate data entry).
  • Experience with one or more accounting systems (Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks/SAP/Business Central).
  • Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail.
  • Professional communication (phone and email) and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an office-based, part-time arrangement.

An excellent salary is on offer plus a long-term permanent position. Pay rate based on skills.
