Excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing Australian manufacturing company specialising in advanced industrial production equipment and automated machinery.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their maintenance team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, servicing, repairing and improving a range of automated production machinery and plant equipment within a busy manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Duties will include:

• Preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Mechanical fitting and machine repairs
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance
• Fabrication and modification of plant equipment
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Maintaining spare parts and critical stock levels
• Completing maintenance reports and work orders
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Working closely with production personnel to maximise machine uptime

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
• Industrial machinery maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Fabrication and welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills
• Forklift licence advantageous
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
