Quality Assurance Officer – Aviation Support Equipment

An excellent opportunity to join an industry leader in the assessment and repair of specialised lifting equipment used in the aviation and aerospace sectors. This role focuses on the administration and documentation side of quality assurance (QA), ensuring all products and processes meet industry standards and compliance requirements.

You'll be responsible for managing quality control documentation, supporting internal audits, and assisting with compliance reporting and calibration traceability. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, experience in quality systems, and strong administration and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain quality system documentation and records
• Assist with internal audits and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Maintain calibration logs, traceability records, and inspection checklists
• Liaise with the engineering and production teams to ensure QA compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO or AS standards

Key Requirements:

• Strong administration, document control, and computer skills (Excel, Word, databases)
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) – e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100 preferred
• Understanding of mechanical assembly, ideally within a regulated industry (aviation, defence, medical, manufacturing)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings or engineering documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

This role is ideal for someone from a QA, QC, or compliance background with aviation, mechanical, or manufacturing industry experience.
