Excellent opportunity to join a leading Australian manufacturing company supplying products to the construction and infrastructure sectors.

This well-established and highly successful business operates a modern manufacturing facility and requires an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their afternoon shift maintenance team.

The role will involve servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of automated production equipment, processing machinery and plant equipment used within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fault finding and continuous improvement activities to ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on position working closely with production and maintenance personnel within a large industrial manufacturing operation.

Duties will include:

• Preventative maintenance of production machinery
• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs
• Mechanical fitting and assembly work
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance
• Welding and fabrication repairs
• Machine fault finding and troubleshooting
• Continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Supporting production to minimise downtime
• Working safely within a manufacturing environment

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
• Experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems
• Forklift, EWP or elevated work platform licence advantageous
• PLC, VSD, Light Curtains and Safety Relay exposure highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
