This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful and growing Australian business specialising in truck body and tanker manufacturing and engineering.

Based in Sunshine West, this company supplies a wide range of industries across Australia and has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and engineering excellence.

Position 1 – Tanker Fit-Out / Mechanical Assembler

This role will involve assisting with tanker fit-out and general assembly work including (but not limited to):

• Ladders, handrails and safety equipment
• Drain tubes and general tanker accessories
• Mechanical assembly and fitting work
• Working from engineering drawings

You may also be involved in some general fitting and light fabrication duties.

Position 2 – Hydraulic Fitter / Assembler

This role requires hands-on hydraulic experience including:

• Hose making and tube forming
• PTO and pump installations
• Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Testing and commissioning hydraulic systems prior to delivery

Experience with pressure testing, pneumatic systems and basic electrical wiring would be highly regarded.

All work is on new builds, mainly on clean, brand-new tankers.
Experience with MIG (and TIG) welding of aluminium would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong “can-do” attitude, good hands-on skills, and a desire to build a long-term career in heavy vehicle manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in mechanical assembly or fitting
• Truck, trailer or tanker industry experience (highly regarded)
• Confident use of hand and power tools
• Experience fitting components to engineered products
• Ability to read drawings and follow build procedures
• Good communication skills and strong work ethic
