This successful and growing company specialises in supplying a premium range of cutting tools, lubricants, machine tool accessories and manufacturing solutions to the Precision Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing industries.

Their clients include Aerospace, Rail, Defence, Medical, Toolmaking and Specialist Engineering businesses throughout Australia.

Due to continued growth, they now require an Internal Technical Sales Representative to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with a CNC machining, manufacturing or engineering background who enjoys dealing with customers and providing technical support and solutions.

The position is primarily home-based and will involve managing an established customer base, preparing quotations, following up opportunities and maintaining strong customer relationships. At times, you will also visit clients to discuss projects, review requirements and identify additional opportunities.

Your role will involve:

• Managing and developing existing customer accounts
• Preparing quotations and following up opportunities
• Providing technical sales support and product advice
• Building long-term relationships with customers
• Assisting customers with cutting tool, lubricant and manufacturing solutions
• Working closely with suppliers and internal technical specialists
• Identifying additional sales opportunities within existing accounts
• Some business development activities to generate new opportunities
• Occasional customer visits and industry networking
• You will be supported by an experienced team with ongoing product training and technical support.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Engineering or Trade background
• Manufacturing industry knowledge
• Cutting tool knowledge highly regarded
• CNC machining background ideal
• Account management or customer service experience
• Technical sales experience advantageous
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good computer and administration skills
• Ability to work independently from home
• A positive and professional attitude
