Quality Manager – Automotive

Location - Coventry

Salary – £50,000

Our client operates worldwide within the automotive industry.  They are looking to appoint a Quality Manager to ensure high quality of the product, through continuous investigation of production quality issues and supplier quality. Implementation and maintenance of the Quality System and its conformance to recognised Quality Standards.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop quality, cost, delivery, and performance measures.
  • Liaison with customer contacts to achieve agreed PPM levels, resolve any customer issues from delivery performance, cost to quality, QR’s / CR’s.
  • Full Knowledge & Upkeep of the Quality Standards and Systems (e.g., TS:16949, ISO:14001)
  • Plan and conduct audits of the Quality Management Systems and maintain an Audit Register.
  • Responsible for establishing and ensuring correct reject and quarantine procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for in-depth and complete investigation and analysis into quality issues related to production and supplier quality to prevent repeat concerns.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and actively support the development of a safety culture.

Education and Experience:

  • Educated to BTEC/HNC in a related discipline
  • 6 Sigma (Green belt min)
  • 8D Problem Resolution
  • APQP / PPAP / PSW processes
  • Change Management
  • TS:16949 and ISO:14001- Auditor
  • QOS / KPI / PPM
  • D/P FMEA, Control plans, SC’s
  • Proven People Management experience
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
