Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanic to join and help grow our Musselburgh based client, on a full-time temporary ongoing basis, as a HGV Mechanic.
Working as a HGV Mechanic:
- Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 16:30 (overtime available)
- Pay from £30,000 per annum
- Plus a range of company benefits and rewards
Your duties as an HGV Mechanic will include:
- Liaising with other departments, staff and suppliers
- General maintenance across the site; carrying out minor and major repairs on vehicles
- Using a variety of specialised tools
- Completing administration duties
- Other mechanic and maintenance duties
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience:
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills
- Great attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Proven desirable experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role is advantageous
Please Note – Due to the location of our client’s site, successful applicants must have a valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle. Having a class 1 or 2 licence would also be advantageous, but not essential.
