The role of the Test Engineer involves fault finding down to component level, reworking products, and calibrating test equipment, with our innovative client in Pickering.

This vacancy is commutable from Malton, Scarborough, Whitby, Thirsk, and York.

As Test Engineer you will be:

• Electrically and functionally testing PCB assemblies and finished products.
• Programming - JTAG and PIC.
• Component level fault finding.
• Assembling products
• Reworking products and modifying products including component removal and replacement.
• Calibrating test equipment and maintaining the database.

The successful Test Engineer will display:

• Good practical experience in soldering electronic components using tin/lead, and lead-free solders.
• A sound knowledge of reading and interpreting electronic circuit diagrams.
• IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A qualification in electronic servicing or similar.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• A logical and methodical way of working.

As Test Engineer the shift you will work is Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8:30-1:30, offering a competitive salary.
