Project Manager (EJGIPWPM) Wrexham, Wales

Salary: GBP60000 - GBP70000 per annum + + car allowance

Our client are a leading utilities and infrastructure business who are going through a period of investment, growth and change. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to add to their team. 

 

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for undertaking the management and delivery of working projects and singular works activities, inclusive of planning and resourcing of labour, ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are adhered to. Production of both RAMS and SSoW client dependent.
  • Arrange the procurement and delivery of materials to site inclusive of checking all quotations as required.
  • Work with all staff and clients to ensure that works are completed both on time and within budget.
  • To proactively generate leads and opportunities for the expansion of the service provision.
  • To react to other leads from existing customers or in-house.
  • Ability to upsell the HV/LV services to existing customers.
  • Produce RAMS and SSoW.
  • Conduct and produce alteration of work schedules and/or programmes as and when required.
  • ​Undertake site visits to ensure ongoing works are advancing in alinement with schedules/programmes, ensuring client satisfaction and ensuring that no ‘risks’ arise.
  • Communicate with clients as required to assist in the delivery of both new and ongoing works.
  • Implement company safety rules, instructions, and procedures.
  • Carry out regular skill reviews with engineers to better understand training requirements for assigned engineers.

 

Qualifications/ skills/ experience

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of operating in a commercial, multi-divisional organisation.
  • Detailed understanding of current HV/LV electrical installation techniques.
  • Solid and up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation and technical advances.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety practice and Risk Assessment.
  • Previous experience working in the High Voltage industry

  • The ability to build excellent working relationships.
  • Good time management and an ability to plan ahead.
  • Aware of the operational needs of the client, whilst taking account the commercial implications.
