Salary: GBP21000 - GBP25000 per annum + Additional benefits

Our client is a leading utilities and infrastructure business are going through an exciting period of growth and investment are currently looking to strengthen their team and add a successful and motivated business graduate to their Business Development team.

During this graduate programme you will be working across a wide range of areas across the group of businesses including business development, work winning, marketing and commercial as well as working closely with our client to develop both specialist sector and people skills.

Duties will include;

  • Undertake client research to identify new trends, openings and opportunities to build a comprehensive CRM & Opportunity Pipeline database.
  • Develop close client interactions in order to strengthen relationships and to identify new work winning opportunities.
  • Develop new relationships and identify opportunities with new clients
  • Produce a monthly client engagement / sales activity plan.
  • Demonstration that a diary of focused client activity leads to an increase in relationships / work winning opportunities.
  • Working on tendering documents.
  • Co-develop a collaborative 'work winning' culture across the organisation.
  • Support in Raising the business profile at industry events, seminars, social media including LinkedIn, Website etc.

 

The successful applicant will be required to be a graduate or soon to be a graduate with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in any discipline, however, you must have the motivation, drive, and ambition to challenge, lead and develop strong business processes and relationships along with a good understanding of business development/work winning is desirable and previous sales or commercial experience would be highly advantageous.

As a graduate, you will be provided with all relevant training. You will drive your own learning and development with guidance and coaching from your manager and colleagues. You will be supported on your journey towards professional membership of a relevant professional body.
