Due to ongoing growth and success, ABS Commercial Solutions are looking to appoint an HR Business Partner to join our business. This opportunity is a part-time, permanent opportunity, (circa 20 hours per week), and will partner across all areas of our business.
ABS Commercial Solutions are a professional services business that works across Utilities, Highways, Rail, and Infrastructure projects across the UK. We have 4 key areas within the business Commercial, Telecoms, Street works, and Recruitment.
We currently employ just over 100 staff and with our continued growth plans, we are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team and support the SMT and wider business.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Previously worked in Group HR role or multifaceted business
- CIPD level 7 or above.
- Knowledge of HR best practices (essential), employment law (essential)
- Robust employee relations management.
- Proficiency in updating procedures in line with company policy.
Key duties for this role include:
- Delivering HR strategy incorporating different areas of HR such as employee relations and staff wellbeing.
- Regularly reviewing HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and best practices.
- Providing support to leaders and staff on employee relations issues, and disciplinary / grievance cases.
- Evolving a company-wide development framework with senior management, done in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Supporting and coaching line managers to deal with day-to-day issues such as absence.
- Review of pay and reward scheme to support recruitment and retention.
- Development and Improvement of our HR management system across the business
- Ensuring the well-being of staff through a company-wide wellbeing strategy.
What we will offer
- Salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum based on 20 hours a week
